landscaping ... more digging

Well, my time at Brent view estates has come to an end. My last day is on friday and I start working for monkey puzzle landscaping. My bro and I will work together for the first month or 2 and then we'll split to each run our own crew... back at it I suppose. So hopefully this will lead me to where I need to be. ie... money is tight as a overlooked and unnoticed statement that I failed ot make 2 mortage payments... hmmm..... funny they never mention anything till they send a collection agent after my money. which of course is none-existant. So I'll simply pull it out of the air for them. this isn't good timing as now I have absolutely no money to got to prague... at least the flight and hotel are free, I just wonder what I'm going to eat.... time to start fasting I suppose. I often wonder sometimes if that God's calling to fast when I run out of food at the house... I mean it wouldn't be that hard to take a deer or something in the meen time, but.... anway.... so to add to all of this I've been trying to save money in gas to work by driving my car... of course toyota has got to have the worst tires in the universe... I'd choose the walmart specials over them, I end up getting a nail int the tire and not finding out till close to summerland.... it was windy out so I just assumed that the reason the car pulled to one side was because of the wind and not a flat. So now to see if the rim is ruined as well and to buy new tires. Ironically if it had been a crappy car I probably would have noticed right away. The way the suspension and the feel of the ever smooth ride makes it ever so decieving. If you own an new car or are planning on getting one... my advice... get rid of it or dont get one. I hate them.... why was I talked into getting one I don't know... but my warranty is now void as I failed to get the oil changed on the exact date it was supposed to .... there goes 1500 for nothing. I cannot wait till I can afford to get rid of it and buy a normal peice of crap again. Again if I don't have the cash to pay for a new vehicle straight up then i will never again get another one. Unless of course you want to just throw your money in the garbage... if so... then save yourself the trouble and just give it to me instead.

Road Trip!

Well, off to Van for the weekend. Kent I found the cross over for the trailer, and the hitch and everything is already to go. So all set to move you back to the okanagan. Should prove to be an interesting trip. My first road trip with my truck. I really want to know how bad it is on gas.... well not really, but I shall soon find out. Of course this just happens to be a week where I'm supposed to work a lot of overtime... so I'm going to try and get time off on friday as it will take me some time to get to vancouver... not like driving my car down there that's for sure. And kent why did you have to live all the way towards the center of the city... I'm just going to have to run over all the little city cars I suppose. Ryan if you can make it down and get the time off work jsut give me a shout before friday.

Well, today i looked in the mail box only to find a parcel slip from the post office. So, being curious as to what this parcel was I went to the post office to pick it up. It actually wasn't a package at all.... but it was my passport! So kent I now have my number and we can start getting in contact witht that guy to start our trip planning.

In other wonderful news, we had an excellent time at sebastian and adrianna's house warming party the other night. Thank you again sebass for all the free beer! A good time had by all.

Soon we will be on our way to making our own... till then ....

Canada passport office

Well, today I had the misfourtune of being at home and having once again no work to be engaged in. Our site is closed down for the time being to wait for better weather so that they can dig new holes for the forms built and general house building can then be done. So until then, I either look for a new job that passes the time away or I call and wait it out till spring. So in my boredom I decided it was high time I got on the trail of my still missing passport, which was due in my hands byno later than the 26th of January. I started to call the government passport office at 8:00 AM pacific standard time and continued every 30 seconds until finally I got through to something other than a busy tone. An automated can I help you service came through! Wow, I must say that I'm impressed. At 11:28 I was finally prompted to a waiting line by numerous keypad navigational guides and prompts from my wonderfully automated passport people. At 11:30 I was told I was 24th in line to hear a person on the other end of the phone to assist me in my question. 11:31 noted 22 people ahead of me, 11:33 -20 persons ahead, 11:34 -19 persons, 11:41 -18, 11:43 -17, 11:45 -15, 11:46 -14, 11:49 -13, 11:50 -11, 11:51 -10, 11:52 -9, 11:53 -8, 11:54 -7, 11:55 -6, 11:55.5 -4, 11:57 -3, 11:58 -2, 11:59 - 1! 12:00 In.... your call will be answered next... the suspense is killing me.... 12:01 phone ringing!.... click... tranfered.... ringing.... 12:02... ringing.... 12:03 ringing... 12:04 ringing... and then dail tone... %&^%$#%$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!?
So they dropped my call and i started the same process over agian. At least this time it didn't take me 3 1/2 hours of trying to get through and then another 1/2 hour to get hung up on. by 12:20 I was already through as I picked up the pace and called every 3 seconds. 24 people in line after about 5 minutes of punching keypad buttons to navigate to where I needed to be. Same process as before... 12:42 Ringing... A person! hahahaha. Oh, whats that my passport is still in process!? i thought I was supposed to have it a week ago? Oh, you'll stamp it urgent? i thought I already did that. Call back in a few days? Oh, ok... but what if I have to work that day and can't afford the 5 hours of agony that it took just to get through to someone? So I guess the lady said it would be processed within the week and should be mailed express post... so mid februaury I should finally see it. And then get the number so as to book our flight and get our dates in order to go to prague.
I'm not so sure I want to get all my hopes and dreams up about this whole thing.... bvut it would definately be nice to see that this actually helped and that I will really get my passport in 2 weeks...
