setting goals for my character
Well in music today we have david bowie and Mick Jagger - Dancin in the street, something you thought history had swallowed up forever. No ! say I, we need these precious moment of to remember that we were in fact a product of the eighties. And in fact David bowie is our hero of the day as well. What a great father figure to look up to. If you ignore the drug scene, relationship failures, self centeredness among other admirable attributes, then he is most unequivocally our hero today
And now for the Misfits and their classic - six pack!

What to do next
But today I have found a new skill, or past time rather, to add to my repertoire. the picture speaks volumes and I'm not to sure why anyone has even made a diagram of it... other than the fact it was obviously invented by the Germans
When I first saw it, I immediately assumed the worst - that our German friends are inhaling teutonic sewer gas to get off. Now call it toilet huffing... or what you will, but after translating the page out it turns out to be advice in the event of a fire emergency. So instead of inhaling smoke you can put the hose in and inhale sewer air! But air none the less.
As the translation page stated "The fresh air equipment of the Kaliforniers William of cross-beam is to save with fire in smoked dwellings the life to humans. According to cross-beam must they in addition only a hose into a toilet insert and the 'fresh air' deeply existing in the tubing system inhale"
So now I will most definitely add this to my stash of duct tape and plastic sheeting.
And of course in the wide world of music today we find a variety of great talent. First runner up is M. Quayutinuag & M Tavaluk with some wonderful throat singing in their classic hit: Quanatyug . Next we have Burkina Faso (aka Fulbe Cowherders) and their number one hit: Demonstration of the Daahi . An enchanting number by Santo S.A. with: Lair's . A curious song and strange man called Angio Loratatino sings; Rumore d'Ombra . Of course there is some good talent among these musicians with Manchurek Khen with his chant: Oorzhak Khunashtaar-ool.
I simply cannot leave out Jeremy Adler and his Alphabox
Enjoy.
Now for me to be single for a week. This will be strange. As my wif is leaving to Calgary to be with her sister for her new baby to be born.

Response
This is in response to my own post on 'wow, something something, Christmas.... something'. I was sitting in church daydreaming but still listening attentively today as I so often do and the thought occured to me that; its all about perspective. My whole out look has been 'what about me?' but in reality it doesn't have much to do with me at all... more towards my family and ultimately my Creator. I stand to lose my house, car, etc... but is that really what all this is about? Especially around Christmas time? Maybe if I had the right train of thought and moved it to the paradigm of others instead of myself, I would see the true meaning of Christmas. Then the thought of why this has happened to me for as long as I can remember shook me as maybe its truely that I'm indeed that selfish and need to be reminded time and time again that this isn't about me.
I've been trying to teach my kids about the value of others for a while... in progress, but with all children we need to help them see its not always about them and that others are what truly matter. Especially now that its Christmas time, with being good to get presents and not a lump of coal. This year we will have a small Christmas in the way of presents but then is it that good to teach them that they can be bribed? good= presents.... whats wrong with this picture and the marketing capitalistic CEO's who make Christmas beefed up to be the penultimate drive to be good and get what you wnat.... just not what you deserve?
Whatever happens I have now picked up a new skill thanks to an online blast from the past. I can add it to my repetoir of numchuck and bo staff skills. It is 'How to Trow Your Voice'. Something that I have a feeling will change my circumstances in the job finding perdicament that I find myself in. http://blogfiles.wfmu.org/LG/Unknown_-_Throw_Your_Voice.mp3
Also in good musical taste for today comes from two very different and unique artists. The first is by Pneumershonic, and is entitled 'clothespin Cha cha' and don't forget... farewell, marimbo bimbo. great music and very interestic chatter along with his one hit wonder 'bubonic plague'
Next is an artist whom is rising on the myspace charts.... Bingo Gazingo! He's older than your grandparents, still living on the streets in New York city... so if you're into an old guy with only a few remaining teeth singing in the rap/ screamo style of comedy then you'll love his music. unfourtanately his superb music is too awesome to upload to this site. you'll have to check it out for yourself i suppose.
Speaking of hilarity i stumbled across some Donald Rumsfeld poetry! I'm sure you will be as blessed as the white house, congress and the United States to hear these epic words....
A Confession
Once in a while,
I'm standing here, doing something.
And I think,
"What in the world am I doing here?"
It's a big surprise.

Captain Christy Now Wants You To Be Uranus And Show How You Can Spin (MP3)
Isn't it fun to be a planet in space? These are not my words, this is a quote by Captain Christy, my new champion of demented instructional recordings for children. I don't know anything about her or the "Step in Step Dance SIStem" for which this was recorded, but the art speaks for itself. Follow Captain Christy and Spaceship Dance into space, say hi to the Moon, march, spin, whirl, twirl, hop, and watch out for funny green men from Mars and big winds pushing the spacecraft around. Christy has impeccable rhythm, leadership qualities, and masters all the random changes in background music without blinking an eye. Listen and dance along: Captain Christy's Space Walk (mp3).
fun on the net
Well with allthis time I'm not working... hopefully I do something monday. I have found some interesting sites while looking for work.... sort of. These are just a few, I'll save the rest for later. most of them were off a radio web site... great site. http://blog.wfmu.org/freeform/audio/index.html
